Meet the 2024 - 2025 trailwood pta Executive Board
president - Lori Tritsch
This is my fourth year serving on PTA Executive Board. I have Henry, a sixth grader in Ms. Scott’s class and Cady, a fourth grader in Mrs. Dennis’s class. I have so enjoyed serving on various committees at Trailwood as well as volunteering in the library. Professionally, I am a Nurse Practitioner at Children’s Mercy Hospital. We love being Thunderbirds!
president elect - cher brownback
I am excited to be serving for my third year on the PTA Executive board. I love serving the school, kids and community. I have three girls. Kate is in 1st grade, Ellie is in 3rd grade and Caroline is in 6th grade. I am also a nurse and work at The University of Kansas Medical Center in the healthcare simulation education department. I work with many different healthcare specialties but primarily with 1st, 2nd and 4th year medical students. And when I’m not doing all of that, I love to play tennis, ski, and travel!

We have two proud Thunderbirds, Ava (6th grade) and Elin (3rd grade) that have both attended since Kindergarten. This is my second year serving on the PTA Executive Board, and I am thrilled to be contributing to our special Trailwood community in such a meaningful way. We have had a wonderful experience during our many years here, and we're looking forward to another great school year!

We have had a wonderful six years at Trailwood so far and have two Thunderbirds: Caitlin (6th) and William (3rd). Growing up, our parents were heavily involved in our schools and PTA's. They set an example of what duty and community can do for a child's upbringing, and we want to provide the same for our children. The Trailwood community has been incredible, so I am thankful to be able to support it in a meaningful way.
ways and means - Katie culbertson
From day one, Trailwood has been the perfect fit for our family, and we’re still loving every moment! With Harper (5th) and Liam (4th), we’ve cherished being part of the Thunderbird community. I love getting involved, whether it’s diving into the Auction Committee, hosting grade-level parties, being a room mom or planning the always-fun "Senoritas and Sangrias" party. Professionally, I channel that same energy as the Director of Special Events at Cornerstones of Care, where I organize fundraising events that support our broader community. I’m excited to serve on the PTA Executive Board this year and help our Trailwood community thrive. Go Thunderbirds!

I have two kids, Brynn (6th grade) and Connor (2nd grade), and we have been at Trailwood since Brynn started pre-k. This is my second year serving on the PTA Executive Board, but I have enjoyed volunteering with the Trailwood community in a variety of ways over the years. My family loves Trailwood, and we're excited for another great school year!

We're in our fifth year of Trailwood with many, many more to go! We have Henry (8th), Clark (5th), Lucy (3rd) and Caroline (2 years old). We love the Trailwood community and feel very lucky to live in this area. I have been the owner of Kansas City Mom Collective for 12 years, a parenting website and community resource, as well as running Denver and Manhattan, KS sites. Our family loves to travel, cheer for K-State football and play board games.

We are so excited to begin our third year at Trailwood! We have Henley (2nd) and Camryn (Kindergarten). We have loved being part of the amazing Trailwood community. I've enjoyed being a room parent and working on the yearbook my previous two years here at Trailwood! The staff, teachers, students, and parents all make this school so wonderful and we're so grateful we get to be part of it. Go Thunderbirds!!!

We love Trailwood! Our oldest son began Kindergarten at Trailwood in 2012 and we have been investing and pouring into our Trailwood community ever since. We have five kids, two that are now a Senior (Taylor) and a Junior (Macy) at Shawnee Mission South, one in Seventh grade (Logan) at Indian Woods and two at Trailwood in Fourth grade (Brandon and Harper). I have chaired and served on many different PTA committees and have served in various roles on our Exec Board. Overall, I have found a lot of value and purpose in participating with the Trailwood PTA. I’m excited for another great year at Trailwood!
